How Exercising Can Spark Successful Storytelling

Fitness has always been an important part of my life. Exercising is how I relieve stress. When I wake up early and get a good workout in, I instantly feel better and begin my day with a positive mindset.

Even though I know that it makes me feel better, it isn’t always easy to motivate myself to exercise. Especially when I’m overwhelmed and stressed. 

As the end of the school term approaches, my class assignment and work load has significantly increased, and so has my stress.

This term has been the hardest term I have faced in college. I feel physically and emotionally drained and I am finding it hard to stick to my fitness routine.

There are days when I feel tired and dread exercising. This week has been exhausting and I haven’t felt good about my fitness.

This morning, however, I decided to get up early and get a good workout in. I knew it would make me feel better, and it absolutely did.

If you are getting stressed about work or life in general, I encourage you to get active and reset your mind.

This is beneficial for yourself, but it is also beneficial for your clients.

You will produce better quality work if you are at a better mental state. Furthermore, if you are working with fitness brands, your own fitness could spark ideas that could benefit the brand.

Don’t think that you have to exercise like an athlete or bench an insane amount of weight. Even a simple walk or some yoga can act as a stress reliever.

Find something you love. Try something new. Mix up your routine. Make exercising something that is fun and helps clear your mind. Find something that improves your mood and makes you feel good.

Is your client a fitness brand?

Take that feeling you get from a good workout and find a way to tell that story for the fitness brand you are working with.

Think about how that fitness brand can make people feel better and empowered. Think about how it helps people relieve stress and how it sets them up for a happier and healthier life.

Think about how you could utilize social media to tell stories about the brand and how it benefits people.

Instagram is a popular social media platform used by fitness brands. Here are effective Instagram strategies for fitness brands:

  1. Motivate your community
    • Motivational posts help inspire people to improve themselves. Everyone appreciates the power of a motivational message.
  2. Tell a story
    • Fitness brands have the opportunity to write longer captions in order to tell more authentic and inspiring stories. Think about telling a story about someone who benefited from the brand. Real life stories make customers feel inspired and motivated.
  3.  Make your customers feel included
    • Customers feel included when their posts are re-posted on a brand’s social media page. By creating and using a consistent hashtag, brands can easily find user-generate content to post. This increases consumer-brand relationships.

Fitness is beautiful and comes with many amazing stories that are just waiting to be told. 

Don’t get caught up in solely promoting a brand. Think about the impact the brand has on people. Think about how the lives of people are benefiting from the brand. When a brand is making people happier, it is incredibly powerful and inspiring.

We need more happiness and positive energy in this world. Show how your brand is doing that and go even further and try to increase your own happiness. Try to find something that makes you active and more importantly, happy.

If you are stressed, take a deep breath. Everything will work out in the end. If you feel like you are too busy to exercise or are stressed about time, remember what is important for you to stay happy.

For me, exercising keeps me happy. I need to remember this as I finish this stressful term. I need to remember to take time for myself.

It is always hard to remember to practice self care, but it is extremely important. Try to incorporate more self care into your life.

My goal for today is to keep a positive mindset, bring positive energy to people, and remember to relax.
